Russian Air Strikes Cause Heavy Damage to The Ukrainian Air Base
Russian airstrikes have caused heavy damage to Ukraine's Myrhorod Air Base in Poltava Province.
The local authority reported that the damage caused to equipment and infrastructure was significant, but he declined to disclose this publicly, media reported.
Meanwhile, in today's official statement, the Ukrainian Air Force has reported that military airfields in Poltava Province, as well as areas north of Kharkov Province and areas south of Odessa were attacked by the enemy.
The attack involved the use of eight Iskander cruise and ballistic missiles as well as 35 suicide drones known as Shahed-136/131.
The Ukrainian military added that its air defense units managed to intercept and shoot down two missiles of an unknown type and managed to down 20 Shahed drones .
Prior to the outbreak of war, Myrhorod Air Base served as the headquarters for the Ukrainian 831st and 39th Tactical Airborne Brigades, where 40 Su-27 heavy fighter aircraft operated.
